What channels do legal recruiters use for sourcing candidates?

What channels do legal recruiters use for sourcing candidates?

Legal firm recruiters rely on Employee Referrals, Careers Sites, Agencies and Professional Social Networks and for finding candidates for vacancies.

82% of in-house recruitment teams within the Legal sector turn to Agencies for help in filling their jobs. This can have a major impact on a company's cost of hire. ATS/CRM systems don't appear to have a huge take up (36%) but could be utilised to find more warm talent in their databases. More talent pooling is the name of the game.

Which sourcing channels work best in Legal?

When we look at how Legal recruiters are approaching talent attraction the Sourcing Quadrant shows us those channels which are working best to deliver quality and quantity of candidates. Professional Social Networks, General Job Boards and Agencies are working well in the Legal sector to deliver a good balance of candidates. Talent Pooling has low utilisation and results and could be used further to nurture talent and reduce the high reliance on Agencies.

Having a great careers site is one of the ways that can really work to attract a decent quantity and quality of candidates, yet falls a little short, despite being used by over 92% in the sector. Candidate experience is key and can work to nurture relationships and make successful hires.
